Volkswagen Beetle 2012 Concept

Volkswagen Beetle 2012 Concept

The Volkswagen Beetle concept for 2012 you see is not an official proposal for the next generation Beetle. It was designed by David Cordoso, Instead it is one man’s idea of what the car could look like.

The  Volkswagen Beetle concept is an all-electric concept for the next generation Volkswagen Beetle. The designer has envisioned the new Bug as emission-free and fully electric.

This concet is noticeably more masculine in design than its predecessor. It’s still hardly what you’d call a tough-looking car, but it does have a bit more aggression injected into the design. He states that by judging the latest developments at the Volkswagen Group, a gasoline-electric hybrid or even an all-electric version of the car is extremely viable. Apart from a zero-emission engine, the vehicle also gets a more masculine and sportier styling.

The lines and proportions of the 2012 Beetle concept are quite in keeping with the current slew of European hot hatches and superminis. In fact from some angles it takes on a sort of Alfa Romeo MiTo / Renault Clio hybrid appearance.
